Cagayan de Oro Implemented New Rates of Taxis

Few months ago Davao City implemented the new rate of taxi where in the flag down rate is P40 pesos and the flag down will be P13.50 pesos per kilometer traveled and a P2 pesos per minute of total travel time.

As observed, there’s no more rate for waiting time. By the way, only taxi cabs with the re-calibrated meters can collect the new higher rates. Further, prior to calibration and sealing/resealing of the meter, taxi units must be equipped with GNSS receiver, free Wi-Fi, CCTV with continuous recording of past 72 hours of operation and dashboard camera and online digital platforms in compliance with the PUV Modernization Program and Department Order 2017-011 or the Omnibus Guidelines on the Planning and Identification of Public Road Transportation Services and Franchise Issuance.
