CDO News: Female Arrested In Entrapment Operation for Identity Theft and Robbery Extortion
5:00PM of July 7, 2018 at Limketkai Business Center, Cagayan de Oro City joint detectives of RACO 10 led by PCI IGNACIO M GAMBA III under the supervision of PCI WENECO FUENTES and Cagayan de Oro City Police Station 2 conducted entrapment operation that resulted to the arrest of one female person and the confiscation of the ff: a. 1 unit Cherry Mobile C2i Phone color gold b. 1 unit Cherry Mobile Flare phone color black, and c. Entrapment money (PHP 20,000.00)
The operation stemmed on the complaint filed by a a male person, a government employee that suspect created a number of bugos FB accounts using the picture and identity of the victim and posted libelous statements and demanded money in exchange of deleting the FB accounts. Arrested suspect is now under custody of this office while cases for Identity theft and Libel of RA 10175 ) Cybercrime Prevention Act) and violation of Art 293 (Robbery Extortion) of the Revised Penal Code.
