Cagayan de Oro Most of the Competitive City in the Country

According to the 2013 Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index that Cagayan de Oro is the most competitive city in the country. Statistics shows that Cagayan de Oro has a big improvement when it comes to Economic Dynamism, Governance Efficiency, Infrastructure, Most number of ATMs around the City, Number of Hotel Rooms. See the image below and look who are other cities who also compete in our country.

The timeline…

A brief explanation on data gathering and analysis and the factors…Economic Dynamism, Government Efficiency and Infrastructure.

And then the Top 5 Competitive Cities were named…

Further, below are the city rankings 6-50. Ozamiz City (27th) and Oroquieta City (37th), both in Misamis Occidental were the only other cities in Northern Mindanao in the top 50.

By the way, here are some slides wherein Cagayan de Oro fared well. CDO is 7th in Economic Dynamism.

CDO ranked 3rd in Government Efficiency.

And in infrastructure, CDO is 3rd.

CDO is 5th in number of ATMs in the country.

CDO is 10th in Ratio of Hospital Beds. Note that Northern Mindanao lorded over in this category.

Guess what, Cagayan de Oro only trails Manila in the number of hotel rooms!…and the data doesn’t even include hotel facilities which only opened this year like the 159-room Tune Hotel Cagayan de Oro.

Northern Mindanao also had 3 municipalities in the top 10 for infrastructure.

No politics involve to this post but I think let’s give the credit to the previous administration of Dongkoy Emano. It shows that they bring Cagayan de Oro in the right path and this is the results, lets refer to the result of the 2013 Cities & Municipalities Competitiveness Index Presentation conducted by National Competitiveness Council Philippines. Do you agree with me that the results will credit to the previous administration??
