Down Syndrome Kids Strut During Cagayan de Oro Fashion Show

Dressed in fabulous summer wear, 17 children with Down Syndrome walked the runway with their friends in a fashion show in Cagayan de Oro, Saturday afternoon.

The children flaunted their “world of imagination” attire and formal wear made by Kagay-anon designers.

Msgr. Florencios Salvador Jr. said the event made the children closer to the community and elevated their self-esteem.

“It’s a way of exposing these children to the community and you have seen it how they can blossom. They need not be ashamed, they did not fear the community and I think it is a way of enhancing their dignity as children of God,” Salvador said.

This is the second year the kids walked in a fashion show organized by Faith and Light Ministry CDO.
