Lately, Mayor Oscar Moreno lauded Paalam’s outstanding feat after capturing the gold medal in the recent President’s Cup boxing tournament held in Kazakhstan.

The 20-year old Paalam, a current top member of the RP national amateur boxing team, is one of the most decorated and accomplished boxers ever produced under the comprehensive amateur boxing program of Mayor Moreno.

He and the other members of the RP boxing team are now on intensive training and preparations in China to get in tip-top shape before plunging into action in the SEA Games, coach Pamisa revealed. (photo by Nic ‘Butch’ Anches)
