Free Hearing Aids Received By the Indigent Patients
About 120 indigent and hearing impaired patients received free digital hearing aids from the Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro East Urban. One of the recipients of the device is 76-year-old Estrella Vega from Jasaan, Misamis Oriental. Vega is grateful for the early Christmas gift.
Audiometrician Jocelyn Umaran said early detection is important in addressing the condition. The use of hearings aids will boost confidence and improve the social activities of the patients. This is the second year that the group donated free hearing aids to indigent patients.
